Environmental Concerns

Termite Inspection Recommended

PLEASE NOTE: In the state of Tennessee, the inspection and production of "Termite Letters" is restricted to licensed and chartered pest control companies. It is a standard home inspection industry practice to recommended that ALL homes have a termite inspection conducted by a licensed termite/pest control professional prior to closing.

Environmental Inspection Outside Scope of Home Inspection

PLEASE NOTE: In the state of Tennessee, the inspection and/or testing for many environmental toxins or elements is restricted to specially trained and licensed/certified specialists. As such, the inspection for mold, lead based paint, asbestos, magnetic fields, VOCs, etc... are excluded from both the InterNACHI and Tennessee Standards of Practice for home inspectors.

It is recommended that the buyer conduct any additional secondary/specialized inspections on the home prior to the closing date to allow the buyer to make an informed and educated buying decision.

Radon Test Not Performed

PLEASE NOTE: This home inspection report DOES NOT include the inspection or air testing of the home for Radon. The EPA recommends that ALL homes be tested for Radon during the home buying process. The EPA estimates that 21,000 Americans die as a result of Radon-related lung cancers each year making Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer.

* Please reach out to the office for additional information on Radon Testing.
